Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the DGS Trade Fair website ("the Service"), operated by Drogheda Grammar School ("the School"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

The Service is intended exclusively for current students and staff of Drogheda Grammar School. Access requires a valid school Google account (@drogheda-grammar.ie). Use of personal or non-school accounts is not permitted.

Because many users are under 18, the School acts in loco parentis with respect to the Trade Fair and its associated digital systems. If you are a student, your continued participation in the Trade Fair and use of this Service is also subject to the School's general code of conduct.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the Service to:

  • Browse approved stalls and their details
  • Submit and manage a stall application in connection with the current Trade Fair
  • View the status of your application via your account dashboard

Any other use requires prior written permission from the School.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or plagiarised content in your application
  • Impersonate another student, staff member, or any other person
  • Attempt to access accounts, data, or areas of the Service you are not authorised to access
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure
  • Upload or transmit content that is offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose outside of your Trade Fair stall

The School reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who breaches these requirements, and to take appropriate disciplinary action where the breach also constitutes a school code of conduct violation.

4. Stall Applications

Submitting an application does not guarantee a place at the Trade Fair. The School retains sole discretion to approve, reject, or withdraw approval for any application at any time, including if:

  • The stall idea duplicates another approved application
  • The application does not meet the School's standards or policies
  • Circumstances at the School or within the event change

Approved stallholders are responsible for ensuring their stall, products, and conduct on the day comply with all instructions issued by staff organising the event.

If you add other students as stall partners, you confirm that they have agreed to take part and to your sharing their name and email address for this purpose. We use a partner's email only to keep them informed about the stall and the Trade Fair.

5. Content You Submit

You retain ownership of any content (text, images, descriptions) you submit through the Service. By submitting it, you grant the School a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the Service for the purposes of operating the Trade Fair, including showing your stall's details on the public stalls page if your application is approved.

You confirm that any content you submit is your own original work, does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, and does not contain personal data about others without their consent.

6. Intellectual Property

The DGS Trade Fair name, logo, and all School branding remain the property of Drogheda Grammar School. The software powering this Service is developed independently and its source code is not licensed for reuse without permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that information on the site will always be error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Irish law, the School shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits the School's liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to users where reasonably practicable. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
